COMPANY'S EMVIRONMENT POLICY

The physical distribution system for the industry of our country can be said to be like the blood flow system of the human body. The most part of it is supported by diesel trucks. We, at HAMANA WORKS, have proudly played a role in that field continuing great efforts to make trucks adaptable to environmental requirements.

At present, it is a national issue to improve environmental performance of diesel trucks to preserve the environment of the earth. We are determined to continue our activities in the field of our products to contribute to preservation of the environment of the earth. On the other hand, the environment of the earth has been changing at the speed beyond our expectation and we simply feel in our daily lives how difficult it is to preserve the environment. We believe that we, as members of the society, should participate in social activities for improvement of the status quo, establish consciousness of commitment and continue specific activities for that purpose. In order to perform the above determination actually in the steady manner, we set up following policies.

1.To harmonize with the earth and co-exist with its environment

In order to continue production of vehicles while enjoying the natural environment with abundant greens and clear water of the Tenryu River as well as warmhearted human nature of this area, all of us  constantly recognize influences from processes of development, procurement, production and office management, and cooperate in promoting the environmental control.

2.To comply with regulation manuals, etc.

We comply with national laws, government regulations and environmental requirements which we have determined to comply with.

3.Measures to protect original sources as the basic concept

In order to prevent environmental pollution, we take the standpoint of wide consciousness and promote measures for

source protection by maintaining and improving the environment management system.

4. To avoid unnecessary output of waste matters and unnecessary use of the sources and to keep the clean

 environment

Besides the environmental policies regarding the products, we set up environmental purposes and targets regarding consumption of the source energy as well as output of the waste matters and other factors in the manufacture processes and other business activities. Then we prepare activity plans and execute them to achieve such purposes and targets.

5. To check actual conditions of activities constantly

We keep watching how the environmental purposes and targets have been achieved and conduct management review every year.
